Pink Hearts and Squares Baby Quilt. I like to applique a portion of a quilt. The applique is machine stitched with invisible thread. I fmq'd around the center heart square and used the walking foot on the rest. The picture doesn't show the prairie points-may have to add a better photo.
Lavender Hearts and Squares Baby Quilt
I liked the pink one so much I made another! But left off the prairie points, since they used so much fabric and time.
Blue quilt with appliqued bear in the same design as the two Hearts Quilts.
I love yellow and used almost all the yellows in my stash to make this simple Yellow Churn Dash Quilt. It was raffled off in Maine for the Multiple Myeloma Foundation. Hope the recipient is happy.
A stash buster Yellow Brick Road. I don't mind the quickness of quilts like this, but they really don't appeal to me anymore.
The first of four 1930's prints quilts. This one is Hourglass and it turned out well.
The second one uses two blocks: a simple Nine Patch and a Four Patch on point.
The third one is Disappearing Nine Patch with sashing (a No-no) and appliqued kites. The backing has kites and clouds and the blocks have fmq of a kite and a cloud.
The fourth quilt used leftover scraps from the above projects and I'm pleased with the way it turned out as it was designed on the go so to speak. The star center was a test square I "threw" in the center and then finished the design around it. It's my favorite of the four.
This quilt used two blocks: Snowball with four patch center and Roman Square. The strips were leftovers from a daughter's project. Deciding how to quilt it was difficult and the quilting could have been executed better.
